Carol Aiello

Carol Ann Aiello (Mathison) born November 11, 1943, passed away on January 14, 2024, at the age of 80. She was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Doris Cunningham and Kenneth Mathison. Carol moved around with her family working in the agricultural industry. She traveled to many places from South Dakota to, Phoenix Arizona, Montana, Colorado, California, Oregon, and Washington State finally settling with her family in Yakima in the late 60s. Later in life Carol began to work in the health care field as a CNA. She enjoyed helping others, and spending time with her family, and you could find her out on the weekends with her girlfriends and her baby sister Sandra enjoying life by dancing and sharing her love of life to all those around her, her laughter was infections. Carol married Paul R Westler in Arizona in 1958. She remarried John F Aiello (Jack) on April 2nd, 1971, in Yakima WA. Sadly, she lost Jack on October 12, 1983. Carol found her last love Lester E. Jones and they were partners until he passed away on the 2nd of Jun 2005. Carol is survived by her children Carol Modest (Anthony) of Yakima, Cynthia Ibarra (Leodegario) of Wapato, Linda Westler of Wapato, and Kimberly Perez (Sergio) of Yakima and Cary Bridgeford of Tacoma. Her brothers, Kenneth Mathison (Sherrie) of Newberg, Oregon, Donald Mathison (Krishna) of Nashville, Tennessee, Robert Mathison (Karen) of Tri-Cities, WA, and David Mathison (Carsandra) of Graham, WA and her sister Sharon Shively of South Heaven, Michigan. Grandchildren (23) Anthony, Joseph, Sheena, Jessie, Leo, Juan, Angie, Alicia, Adrianna, Paul, Christina, Jose (JoJo), Jose, Jeanette, Jessica, Sergio, Pablo, Celia, Jose, Diego, Rosalinda, Tia and Tanesha. Great-Grandchildren (53) Lillianna, Isabella, Leo jr, Logan, Abby, Alejandro, Andres, Chuy, Yuritza, Xadrian, Brooklyn, Gemma, Paul, Zane, Mileena, Chris, Landyn, Logan, Adalynn, Allison, Lacie, Briseyda, Sephy, Lucas, (baby to come) Nico, LeBryant, Lariah, Aonesteigh, Komelo, Safiniti, Legacy, Zodiac, Alizae, Semiah, Neelah, Mykie, Ceilo, Aryse, Marayaa, Zayvier, Isaiah, Zamarian, Jose, Alex, Jailyne, Zoey, Xander, Pablo, Jr., Cheyenne, Dalton, Nestor and Mateo. Carol had many nieces and nephews that she held close to her heart, but her sister Sandra choose to stay close to her older sister which allowed Sandy’s children Ronda, Debbie, Brian and Christopher to grow up with their auntie Carol and her children. Carol is preceded in death by her son Paul, parents Kenneth and Doris, sister Sandra, her nieces Debbie and Jeanette, the three loves of her life Paul, Jack, and Lester. Carol is dancing in heaven having a huge reunion and filling the skies with her laughter. You are missed Momma, until we all meet again continue to dance your dance for all of us.
