Carlos Rodriguez

Carlos Rodriguez was born August 19, 1922 in San Nicolas Tamaulipas Mexico. Carlos left to be with the Lord April 15, 2016 at 7:20 am at home in Sunnyside, from natural causes. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 40 years of marriage, Consuelo Prieto Rodriguez, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Carlos enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren and attending church at “The Good Shephard Church”, where he was a member for over 40 years. Carlos enjoyed reading especially his Holy Bible. Carlos always had a great sense of humor even when found in difficult situations in life. He was a strong man that always worked hard and was willing to lend a helping hand. Carlos chose to retire at the age of 82. He worked for Bridgeman’s Farms for over 30 years before going seasonal for Kinsey Farms. He was a man of many hats during his life, worked everything from commercial fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, cotton picking, maintenance, railroads to agricultural work everywhere across the United States. Carlos is survived by his wife of 40 years Consuelo Prieto Rodriguez from Cueramaro Guanajuato Mexico and children Carlos Jr from San Juan Texas, Irma of Lake Charles Louisana, Ramiro of Kent WA, Celia of San Antonio Texas, Ignacio of Sunnyside WA, Rafael of Wapato WA, Raquel of Waipahu Hawaii, and Reymundo of Grandview WA. Carlos is preceded in death by his beloved son; Juan Rodriguez, mother; Guadalupe De La Fuente, and Father; Juan Rodriguez. A special thanks from the Rodriguez family to the staff at Heartlinks Hospice and Palliative Care. Viewing and visitation will be held 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday April 19, 2016 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Services will be held 10:00 am Wednesday April 20, 2016 at the Good Shepard Church, 1515 Sunnyside Mabton Rd. followed by a horse drawn procession to graveside services at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens Sunnyside. A reception will be held following graveside services at Valley Hills Funeral Home Sunnyside.
