Juan Carlos Garcia, 35, of Sunnyside passed away on June 2nd 2014. Carlos was born in General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on Dec 9,1979 to Servando Garcia and Maria Santos Garcia. At the age of one, he and his brothers and sisters moved to the United States and resided in Sunnyside. Carlos graduated from Sunnyside High school 1998 where he was a four time state place for State Wrestling he then attended YVCC where he continued to wrestle. He became the Toughman Champion in 2001. Carlos was loved by many in the valley and made many friends wherever he set foot. He enjoyed being with family and friends and was known for his tireless energy. He lived one day at a time. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing. He enjoyed watching UFC and Boxing Events. Carlos enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his kids whenever he was given a chance. He loved picking on his sister Blanca aka “Polar Bear” and spending time with his brother and best friend Edgar. He also loved hanging out with his brother in law Frank. His 4 kids survived Carlos. The triplets, Lincoln, Hudson, Madden and his treasured little girl Aysia (shuro). His beautiful wife Nicole Staal Garcia; Brothers, Joe, Servando, Daniel, and Edgar; Sisters Concha, Blanca, Rosa, and Maria and his parents. He was preceded in death by Carmen Garcia, Tio lolo Garcia, cousin Roberto Garica, grandmother Candelaria Sillas and Jose Garcia. Carlos will never be forgotten; he will forever live through his kids. He left behind a legacy. He was a fighter. He fought to the very end. He had the Heart of a lion. God needed another angel and now we’ve gained a guardian angel to keep us safe. Carlos was a loving son, father, uncle and friend. Viewing will be held June 6, 2014 from 3pm-8pm at Valley Hills Funeral Home, 531 S. 16th Street in Sunnyside across from Sunnyside High School. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 7PM. Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, June 7 at 10AM also at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside with burial following at the Zillah Cemetery. Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah is in care of the arrangements.
