Bruce Lyons

Bruce Leon Lyons, 64, of Yakima, Washington, passed away on 08/02/2023. He was born to parents Doyle Lyons and Sharon Farris (Cornman), on 06/30/1959 in Yakima, Washington. He was the second of five amazing children. Bruce met Effie Widenmeyer in 1987 and it was love at first sight. They were married on July 17, 1991, in Walla Walla, Washington, and together they raised 2 children: Effie’s Daughter Jessica O’Connor, and their daughter Jodell Gonzalez. Together they lived an adventurous life never taking a moment for granted and always living life one day at a time. Bruce is survived by his daughter Jodell (Agustin) Gonzalez and his big man of a grandson Ian Gonzalez. His best friend of over 30 years, and lifelong love Effie Lyons, and Jessica O’Connor and her family. His two beautiful sisters, Linda Garner, and Brenda (Mike) Shupe, one brother who was one of his best friends, Michael Lyons, and his mother Sharon Farris. Along with many nieces, nephews, loved ones, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kasi Ky Lyons, his father Doyle L. Lyons, and his brother Larry W. Lyons, his grandparents, and many other loved ones. The family has entrusted Valley Hills Funeral Home & Crematory with the arrangements. An Event is scheduled for the family to be held privately. The family would like to thank the ICU Team at Memorial Hospital for their amazing care, love, and support along with the amazing team at Valley Hills for their care during our toughest times.
