Bradley George, “Brad”, Richardson age 51 of Yakima, Washington, died unexpectedly December 6, 2014 in Yakima. He was born to the late Ralph Richardson and Barbara Peterson Richardson on June 30, 1963 in Olympia, Washington.
Brad’s family moved several times but he spent a majority of his youth in Davis Junction, Illinois. He was in Boy Scouts and loved creating new inventions, watching movies and swimming with his family. Brad graduated from Stillman Valley High School in Stillman Valley, Illinois. Upon graduation he worked along with his father, Ralph, in construction doing framing and finish carpentry in Illinois and North Carolina. Brad’s father became disabled and relied on Brad to help with a home improvement and remodeling business.
Brad moved with his family to Yakima, Washington in 1986 where he was employed as a janitor for multiple businesses. He later worked for Alexandria Molding in merchandising where he built millwork displays for marketing. He took great pride in his work, crafting beautiful displays for distribution throughout the United States and Canada.
BBQs with family and Seahawks games were Brad’s delight. He enjoyed the latest science fiction movie, video games and the Marvel Universe. He was avid reader and collected action comic books throughout his life.
Brad fought a difficult disease using humor and a positive attitude always having a smile on his face and a twinkle in his blue eyes.
Brad is survived by his siblings, Sandy Richardson and Ron (Julie) Richardson of Yakima, Randy (Denise) Richardson of Pulaski, Tennessee and Candice (partner Kristi) Richardson of Reno, Nevada. Other family members include, nephews Jamie Richardson and Levi Cornell and nieces Amanda Eubanks, Caitlin (Justin) Lindborg and Erin Richardson, great-nephews Justy Hutt, Carter Eubanks, Blake Richardson and Chase Richardson all from Indiana. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Barbara Richardson.
A private service is being held for family. All will be welcome to attend a celebration of Brad’s life that will held in the spring. Think BBQ. The family would like to thank the staff at the Union Gap Davita Dialysis Center for their special care of Brad. He looked forward to his visits with everyone who cared for him at Davita and with his other medical professionals. Go Hawks.
