Bob La Follette

February 10, 1948 — August 6, 2015

Bobbie Lynn LaFollette, 67, hunter, fisherman, gun-trader, Bob-Jobber, beloved Father to 3(Rowdy, Missy, & Bobbie), Grandfather to 7(Brittani, Ramsey, Christian, Caleb, Nathan, Liam, & Luke), died in his home on August 6th, surrounded by memories, tears, love, & fishing reels. Born in Toppenish, WA, to Pauline & Leonard LaFollette, Bobbie along with little brother, Gary, made memories on the Satus that would be shared for his lifetime & beyond. As a young boy, living in the lower Yakima Valley, he displayed the work ethic of an adult man. He would work to the extremes just as he would live the rest of his life. Bobbie started a family at 17. He worked at Parker Sand & Gravel where the owners were concerned he worked too hard. There, he worked until he broke his back. After extensive back surgery, he then became a Granger policeman where the stories from fellow officers would scare most. He later moved his family to the Goldendale area where he enjoyed hunting the hillsides & fishing the rivers. Many memories were made camping, fishing, & hunting with family & friends. In his later years, he relocated to Florida & fished the Gulf. He eventually made it back home to Washington State where he spent his last days fishing the area. Near death, he was still planning his fishing trip. To the family that loved our Dad through difficult times, thank you. To the friends that participated in his crazy hunting & fishing adventures, thank you. To the women who loved our Dad, thank you. In memory of our Dad, remember Life is the School & Love is the Lesson. Fish On! To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Bob La Follette, please visit our flower store.
