Billy Ray (Bill) Holloway, 62, of Zillah, WA. Passed away on July 9 th , 2026. He was born on
January 29 th , 1964.
Bill graduated from Wapato High School, where he developed a lifelong love for basketball.
That love stayed with him throughout his life. One of his proudest memories was being selected
to play on a team that traveled to Australia. It was a story he loved to tell, and his wife and sons
heard it many times over the years because it brought him so much joy.
His passion for the game never faded. When the Covid-19 outbreak hit and everything closed up,
Bill built a basketball gym for his sons and other kids in the community, so they would still have
a place to play. To this day, kids still come to use our gym. The gym also has become a special
place where family and friends gather to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and many treasured
occasions.
Bill worked many years as shipper/controller at Labeemint in Harrah, WA. And most recently
was employed at Yakima Bait Company. The Labbee family was incredibly supportive and
generous throughout the years, and their kindness meant so much to Bill and his family. Also,
thank you to Yakima Bait Co. for hiring Bill this year.
Above all, Bill loved his wife Debbie, his sons Tyler and Samuel, his brother Greg, and his
parents Milton and Patricia Holloway dearly.
He treasured every opportunity to watch his sons play sports. He was a devoted, attentive father
and their biggest fan.
His family was the center of his life.
Bill attended Zillah Nazarene Church and found strength in his faith. He lived a life marked by
kindness, humility and a willingness to help others whenever he could.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Caleb Holloway; his brother in law David Bruce
Dunn; His maternal grandparents, Raymond Patterson and Lena (Williams) Patterson; and his
paternal grandparents Ray and Lelda B. (Patton) Holloway.
Bill is survived by his loving sons, Tyler Holloway and Samuel Holloway; his parents, Milton
and Pat Holloway; His brother, Greg Holloway; and many extended gamily members and dear
friends whose lives were forever enriched by knowing him.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at 11 A.M. at Valley Hills
Funeral Home in Zillah Washington.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even
though they die.” John 11:25
Bill will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his generous spirit, his faith in
God, and the quiet ways he invested in the lives of others. His legacy of love will continue in the
hearts of all who knew and loved him.
