Betty Jacobe

Betty L Jacobe (72) passed away in Bend, OR on Jan 30th. She was born in Mena Arkansas on March 6th, 1941 to Edison Plunkett and Ruth Edison (Armstrong). Betty lived in the Valley for most of her life. She graduated from Davis High School and married Buddie Jacobe in 1958. She worked at the Parkside Nursing Care Center as a laundry supervisor for over 10 years. She loved RVing, camping, crafting, gardening, cooking, canning and spending time with her family. After retiring, she and Buddie traveled for almost 11 years and settled in Christmas Valley OR. She is survived by her husband Buddie of Christmas Valley, OR; her son Vernon (Lola) Jacobe of Yakima; daughter Lisa (Don) Kessinger of Selah and 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother Ruth Welk, her daughter Carolyn Jacobe and her grandson Vernon Jacobe Jr. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
