Bettie Filicetti

Genevieve “Bettie” Filicetti, 91 of Goodyear, AZ died on September 8, 2015. Bettie was born on January 25, 1924 in Seattle, WA to T.W. and Genevieve Gaffney. She was raised in Ketchikan, AK. Bettie was a graduate of Washington State University and taught school in Grandview, WA. She was actively involved with the development of the Head Start Program in Sunnyside, WA. She also worked and volunteered with Lower Valley Hospice. Bettie was a resident of Sunnyside, WA for more than 50 years and was an active member of St Joseph’s Catholic Church. She is survived by her son Scott Laws, daughters-in-law, Lorie and Joan Laws, twenty grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Genevieve Gaffney, first husband Richard Laws, second husband Frank Filicetti and son Richard Laws. Services will be held on 10:00 am Saturday, October 10,2015 at Valley Hills Funeral Home In Sunnyside, 531 S 16th St, Sunnyside, WA 98944. Burial will follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens, with a reception to follow at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside.
