Bessie Torres

Bessie Torres, 72, of Yakima died Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Mrs. Torres was born in Madera, Calif. Survivors include three sons, Stan Marquez, John Marquez and Pablo Soto; two daughters, Grace Hayes and Lorena Soto; brother, Manual Contreras; and three sisters, Patti Castro, Betty Frias and Bertha Diaz. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, with recitation of the rosary at 6 p.m., all at Valley Hills Funeral Home of Yakima. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Cathedral. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Valley Hills Funeral Home in Yakima is in care of the arrangements.
