Basilisa Deleon

February 9, 1938 — June 3, 2022

Basilisa Valdez was born on February 9, 1938 in Garza Gonzalez Los Ramones, NL Mexico. She was the last of nine children born from the marriage between Fernando and Manuela Valdez. On December 30, 1959, at the age of 21, she married the young Rafael DeLeon. Their marriage was full of happiness and they were blessed with 8 children: Maria Magdalena (Ricardo) Campos, Leticia (Cain) Valdez, Griselda (Generoso) Garza, Ludivina (David) Romero, Rafael Jr. (Narcedalia) DeLeon, Delma DeLeon, Manuelita (Oziel) Nunez and Samuel (Yaaresi) DeLeon. God also blessed them with 18 grandchildren: SaraLisa (Amable) Hernandez, Ester (Ryan) Etzel, Generoso III (Stacie) Garza, Ricardo Campos Jr., Rafael III (Michelle) DeLeon, Marcos Levi (Abbey) Garza, Michael Angelo (Janet ) DeLeon, Justin Xavier Nunez, Cristian DeLeon, Tomas Romero, Luis Fernando DeLeon, Kailet Getsemani (Cruz) Cortez, DeAndra Jo Romero, Jason Eric Nunez, Cain Valdez III, Ginisa Alejandra DeLeon, Kailey Jane DeLeon, Janae Izmani Nunez. After her husband's departure she continued to enjoy her life in Wapato for 17 more years, adding another granddaughter Kati Bree Valdez and 18 great-grandchildren. Basilisa accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in 1977. She was a member at Templo Getsemani  in Garza Gonzalez NL Mexico and later at Templo Cristiano in Wapato WA. She was part of the group of ladies. BasiLisa loved Jesus until the day of her departure, day and night she prayed out loud for her children and grandchildren. She was very proud of everyone. Celebration of Life for our Beloved Mother (Basilisa Valdez de DeLeon) are as follows  Thursday June 9th, 2022 - Viewing 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. Service to follow at 6:00 p.m. Friday June 10th, 2022 - 9:30 a.m. Templo Cristiano 501 W 2nd Street Wapato, WA Grave side burial to follow at Reservation Community Memorial Park 5161 West Wapato Rd Wapato, WA Family and friends on behalf of the DeLeón Valdez family we would like to thank you for all your prayers, calls, text and kind words toward our family. We are in awe with all the Love and support we have received in these past few days.
