Bardeena M. Boyd
Bardeena was born on September 18, 1928 in Buena, Washington and passed away peacefully on the morning of June 17, 2018 at the age of 89.
Bardeena grew up in Buena/Zillah area. She went to elementary school in Buena, WA and Lewiston Illinois for a short while. She attended junior high in Zillah and graduated from Zillah High School. After which she worked as a dental technician for several years. She also rode horses and belonged to the Palomino Caballeros club along with several other family members and friends that rode in parades and such.
She married Walt Boyd on January 18, 1948 and they had been married for 70 years before Walt’s passing. Together they had children Dennis, Connie and Bob.
Bardeena was a homemaker but also belonged to many organizations such as The Order of Eastern Star, local chapter of Garden Club, Newcomers, PTA, and also co-owned a Hobby Store for several years. Her hobbies were many; including sewing, knitting, ceramics, landscaping and painting to name a few.
She traveled with Walt for his work throughout the U.S. and Ireland. They also enjoyed several personal trips to explore Europe.
She is survived by her 3 children, 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Marie (Mustered) Brooks and 3 brothers, Bob, Ron and Richard (infant).

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Valley Hills Funeral Home (2600 Business Lane, Yakima). Private burial will be held at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
