Barbara Gallardo of Harrah, WA died peacefully at Cottage in the Meadow in Yakima, WA.
Barbara was born in Powell, WY to Andres and Maria (Ramirez) Villalovos on April 24, 1924. The family moved to the Yakima Valley when Barbara was 12 yrs. of age. She married Seferino Marcus Gallardo in 1942, and together they had five children.
She was a school cook for the Wapato School District for 13 years. She loved to garden and cook for her family and was a devoted and founding member of Templo Cristiano Asambleas de Dios, Wapato, WA. As the longest living member of her church, she was recently honored for her 75 years of loyal membership.
Barbara is survived by her three children. MayLou (Rudy) Alvarado of Seattle, WA, Cecilia (Wayne) Kosik of Harrah, WA and Trini Gallardo of Spokane, WA. Eight grandchildren, Debbie (Tom) Leahy, Marcus (Wendy) Alvarado, Tanya (Ben) Maldonado, Bobbi (Bill) Ginder, Paul Kosik, Joe (Carmen) Kosik, Gabriel Gallardo and Andrea Gallardo. Nieces Sandra (Robert) Castillo and Rosemary Villalovos.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Roger, husband Seferino and son Mark.
Viewing will be on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 15 at 10:00 a.m. at the Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato.
A dinner for friends and family will be held at the All Nations Center, 3020 Ashue Rd., Wapato, WA immediately following graveside services at the Reservation Community Memorial Park, 5161 W. Wapato Rd., Wapato, WA.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Cottage in the Meadow for the wonderful care they gave to our mother and also to Dr. Martin Backer, MD and Dr. Biju P. Kunhiraman, MD for the many years of care they gave to our mother.
