Aurora Guerrero

November 27, 1944 — September 4, 2022

Our beloved Aurora Guerrero was received with open arms by our Savior on September 4, 2022 after a short and courageous battle with heart complications at the age of 78. Aurora was born November 27, 1943 in Nayarit, Mexico and migrated to the Lower Valley where she would make Sunnyside her home for the remaining of her life. She worked in many agricultural jobs and spent many years working in local warehouses including Johnson’s, Independence Foods and Seneca where she retired two years ago. Dona Aurora, as she was lovingly called by her friends and family, was well known for her charismatic heart and smile. She was always helping others in need and had many friends. Aurora shared her talents with her community, religious family and created everlasting friendships that will forever echo on. Aurora is a true testament of hope, love and faith as she lived a good life as a loyal Catholic and servant of God. She had great devotion to the Virgin Mary and prayed daily with lots of faith. She attended hundredths of retreats that helped her strengthen her faith and be a good Samaritan. She was an active member at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and supported her Catholic family in unimaginable ways. She will be missed greatly. May her loving soul rest in peace.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life Martin Guerrero.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday September 12, 2022 at 1:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside with a burial immediately following at Lower Valley Gardens in Sunnyside.
