Audrey Tulee

Audrey Diantha Tulee was born March 4, 1956 in Toppenish, Washington to the late Meachum Tulee and Celia Sharnute Tulee of Brownstown, Washington. Audrey passed away peacefully on October 21, 2023 at the age of 67. Audrey was a life-member of the Yakama Nation, who spent most of her life living in the valley and had a healthy passion for cooking. She loved spending time around family and friends. She was known to travel to stick games and enjoyed day trips through the mountains. She graduated from White Swan High School in 1974, received a Business Certificate in 1980 from Sawyer Business College in Santa Clara, California. She helped with the Grand Opening of the Heritage Cultural Center for the Yakama Nation. She was a member of the Eagles Woman's Auxiliary since 2009. She is survived by two brothers, Kelly Tulee of New Mexico, Sampson Tulee of Toppenish, Washington, and sister Dora Kay Tulee of Zillah, Washington, aunt Tallulah Pinkham of Toppenish, Washington, Uncle Larry Tulee of California. with numerous cousins of the Pinkham family, the Elwell family, the Switzler family and numerous nieces and nephews. Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, Meachum and Celia Sharnute Tulee, siblings, Meachum "IR" Tulee, Rozelia Lou Tulee, Virginia "Ginger" Tulee Washington, Colleen Ann Tulee, Robin Ramilda Tulee Reynolds, Laura Michelle Tulee Thomas; Nieces, Cara Tulee, Connie Price, Sheree Thomas of Nespelem, Nephews, Levi "Butch" Morrison Jr., Kelly "Ton Ton" Tulee Jr., and Cyr Joshua Pete. A dressing service at the Valley Hills Funeral Home of Wapato will be held on Monday, October 23, 2023 @ 9:00AM. Following an overnight service at 1910 Shaker Church. The following morning will be a service then burial where her final resting place will be at the 1910 Cemetery.
