Arthur George Dunsworth Yakima - Arthur (Art) George Dunsworth, 50, died unexpectedly on July 2, 2023 at home. He was born on January 11, 1972. In Olympia WA, son of Vernon C. Dunsworth and Daphne L. (Griffith) Dunsworth. Art graduated from A.C. Davis High School in 1993. Art never married. He worked for Intermountain Cleaning right after graduation. He also worked for Brews Bar for 15 years. He enjoyed helping Alpha Pyrotechnics (fireworks). His favorite hobby was restoring cars and going to the Vintiques Car Shows. He love to relax at home and watch his favorite shows , Dukes of Hazzard and M.A.S.H on DVD. He enjoyed being around his family and friends. He loved to go on Jeep runs with Charles Stearn, John Girard, and his brother Vernon (they had more fun trying to roll the jeeps than anything). Art is survived by his mother, Daphne Dunsworth of Yakima, sister, Tina Etherington, and husband Tom of Yakima, brother, Vernon Dunsworth, and wife, Stephanie of Yakima, Uncle Wayne Griffith, and wife, Elaine of Yakima, Aunt Jo-an Griffith of Yakima, Aunt Norma Saunders of Morton, WA cousins: Ross Saunders (Norma Saunders) and wife Joy of Mossy Rock, WA, Terri Lamb, (Wayne Griffith) and husband Doug of Yakima, Jody Anderson (Wayne Griffith) and husband Andy of Port Orchard, WA, Debbi Gonzalez of Shelton, WA, Nephews: Aaron Etherington (Tina Etherington) of Yakima, Sean Etherington (Tina Etherington) and Wife Cheyenne of Selah, WA Dominic Dexter (Jo-an Griffith) of Yakima, Great Nephews, Tiberius Etherington (Sean Etherington) of Selah, WA, Maximus Etherington (Sean Etherington) of Selah, WA Nieces, Haylee Dunsworth (Vernon Dunsworth) of Yakima, Alayna Dunsworth (Vernon Dunsworth) of Yakima, Kenzy Dunsworth (Vernon Dunsworth) of Yakima. Art was preceded in death by his father, Vernon C. Dunsworth, Grandparents, Charles and Pauline Griffith, and George and Anna Dunsworth, Uncle Arthur Dunsworth (his name sake) and a longtime girlfriend, Frances (Fran) Benitez-Brown, Cousin Russell Dunsworth, and numerous aunts and uncles. A service of remembrance for family and friends will be held at a later date in August. Art’s wish was to be cremated with no viewing or services. Family has set up a go fund me account in Art’s name, (Arthur Dunsworth Memorial Fund) to help cover his unexpected death. Condolences can be sent to 1707 Fremont Dr., Yakima, WA 98908.
