Anthony Webb Moritz
May 18, 1959 – May 25, 2026
It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Anthony Webb Moritz, who left us surrounded by loved ones and cherished family at the age of 67 at Appleridge Farms in Zillah.
Born on May 18, 1959, in Yakima, Tony lived a life full of kindness, dedication, and love for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather (Papa), son, brother, and friend whose wisdom and steady presence touched everyone who knew him.
Tony worked as a farmer all his life alongside his parents, Arthur and Virginia, and his son, Andrew. He was known for building a family environment for all at the farm. We will be forever indebted to the love shown by our most devoted employees as Tony passed.
After graduating from high school, Tony furthered his education, learning to master the classical guitar and music theory at YVC and CWU. It was there he met his greatest blessing, Caren, the love of his life. They were devoted to each other throughout every season of their partnership. Together, he and Caren built a life centered on love, family, and unwavering commitment to one another. They were married 41 years and were blessed with their son, Andrew, and their daughter, Amy. Both children followed in their parents’ footsteps in career paths; Andrew farming and Amy, a teacher.
Tony is survived by Caren, his loving wife; his children, Andrew (Kathi), and Amy (Zach). His grandchildren, Ronnie (Victoria), Justin, Mikayla, Arthur, and Alvin. His great-grandchild, Delilah. His mother-in-law, Emmy. His brothers, James, John (Margaret), and Michael (Sharon). His brothers-in-law, Steve (Tonya) and Tom (Jennifer). He is preceded in death by infant son, Paul, parents, Arthur and Virginia, brothers, Robert and Joseph, father-in-law, Melvin, and brother-in-law, John (Kathy).
A private graveside service will be held for family/invited guests.
Our Papa Tony will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
