Annie Ward

Annie Bell Ward, 71, of South Cle Elum died Friday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. Mrs. Ward was born in Augusta, Ga. She lived in Cle Elum for more than 20 years. She was a caregiver for the elderly. Survivors include her husband, Lionel Ward of South Cle Elum; a son, Michael Merlino of Alaska; four daughters, Rhonda Merlino of Ellensburg, Diane Merlino of Wenatchee, Linda Merlino of North Dakota and Tammy Merlino of Georgia; a sister, Maxine Morris of Augusta; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Per the family’s request, there will be no services. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory, Yakima.
