Angela Marie Walker met her Lord and Saviour on July 26, 2015, as the result of a tragic car accident at the age of 36.
She was born May 8, 1979 in Sunnyside, Washington to Ken and Rachel Ott. Her early years were spent in Mabton, where she attended Mabton Schools and the Mabton Grace Brethren Church, where she was active in Youth Group and where she shared her vocal talents on many occasions. She graduated from Grandview High School in 1997 and went on to earn her Associate’s degree from YVCC. She worked at several different places around the Yakima Valley over the last 17 years including U.S. Bank in Grandview, Farm Credit Services in Sunnyside, the City of Sunnyside, and most recently as a crop insurance underwriter at ARMtech Insurance Services in Richland.
Angela was a loving and devoted mother to her four daughters, Taylor Dawn, 18; Reagan Marie, 17; Kylie Elaine, 15; and Jordan Raquel, 14. Whether she was going to their sporting events, taking them to the movies or going shopping with them, she always knew how to make them laugh and have fun. She was the light and life of any room she entered, with her bright smile and witty personality.
On September 21, 2013, Angela married her husband Kyle John Walker, who also passed away in the same car accident on July 26, 2015. Angela and her husband Kyle lived on the “Satus” near Kyle’s family and they loved riding their horses together out in the Satus hills. This was the happiest time in their lives! She enjoyed being at home with her family and spending time with family and friends. They were both loved dearly and treasured by many.
She is survived by her four daughters, Taylor, Reagan, Kylie, and Jordan Colson of Grandview; her parents, Ken and Rachel Ott of Grandview, Washington; her sister Rebecca Herrmann (husband Adam Herrmann) and nephew, Alexander and niece, Addison of Henderson, Nevada; her sister Kendra Ott (fiancée Ross Webby) and niece, Katelyn and nephew, Logan of Prosser, Washington, her maternal grandmother, Hortensia Hernandez of Mabton, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Valley Hills Funeral Home, 531 S. 16th St. in Sunnyside. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 31 at 11:00 am at the Grandview Church of the Nazarene, 500 N. Elm St. in Grandview. Burial will follow with a traditional horse drawn carriage to the Grandview Cemetery for a private family graveside service. Condolences can be left for the family at www.valleyhillsfh.com.
