Andrew Rescorla

On February 6th 2017 Another Angel got his wings & was greeting by the Lord in heaven. Andrew James Rescorla 72 born 6-11-1944 to Leola Rescorla Gullion in Dillon Colorado and becoming a long time lower valley resident. James was a jack of all trades. He held many jobs in his life; RH Bowles, Toppenish Hospital, Granger School, J & G Hardware, Pioneer Kitchen & long term self-employment. He met the love of his life Gayle R Oswalt at the Blue Bell Café in Granger, WA. They married October 29, 1965. James loved to tinker, busying himself with crafts, wood, puzzles, etc. He loved to see the joy on people’s faces when he gave them his special gifts. In 2016 he and his family moved up Chinook Pass to the Nile area where he spent many days admiring the scenery. He loved feeding his chickens and pulling weeds with his dog Tinker. God and family were very important to him and he showed this to his last day. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Gayle, 2 daughters Angie (Gary) Sanders from the Nile, Laurie (Kevin) Omta from Selah. 2 sons Jamie (Kristin) Rescorla from Yakima & Josh (Lisa) Rescorla from Federal Way. 7 very special grandchildren Tim (Rachel), Cody (Heather), Andy (Colby), Ethan, Mason, Jacob & Ashley and 3 great grands Harmony, Kaleb & Hunter. Proceeded in death by brothers Edward & Larry, his mother Leola, In-laws Edith & Al Oswalt, Judy & Mike Nugent, & Debbie Stanton.
