Andrew Jack Adams

Andrew Jack Adams (A.J.)Born September 15, 1951, A.J. returned to be with his Creator on December 24, 2025, surrounded by the love of his children and family.

A.J. was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Chester (Jack) Adams; his beloved daughter, Victoria; his older sisters Connie Adams, Vivian Adams, and his cherished nephew David (Bugs) Phillips; and many deeply loved family members and friends who went before him.

He is survived by his sisters, Georgia (Gus) Adams and Beverly Adams-Strong; his children, Steven Adams (Laura), Lydia Stuber (David), James Adams, and Ella Adams (Dominic); and his adored grandchildren, Matthew Adams (Marlena), Freddy Hooper (Amber), Nickolaus Stuber, and Genevieve Stuber. As well as his many beloved nieces and nephews.

A.J. lived free from convention, guided by curiosity and a deep love for the open land. For 74 years, he embraced a true cowboy’s way of life—riding horses, herding cattle with his dad, camping up at Piscoe and Klickitat and finding peace beneath wide, open skies. He valued experience over expectation and chose freedom, hard work, and honest living. To those who knew him, A.J. showed the quiet beauty of a life lived close to the earth. His legacy is one of independence, resilience, and a heartfelt reminder to live simply, boldly, and true to oneself.
