Alton Bruce

Alton Wayne Bruce 80 of Toppenish passed away Monday April 11, 2022 after a short battle with cancer he was born on May 26, 1941 in Toppenish, Washington Al loved painting especially western. His other hobbies included spending time in the mountains at Potato Hill he was a avid pool player he played for Brownstown Tavern he worked as a bartender in his younger years at Brownstown tavern he met the love of his life Irene K. Finley in July 1986 they settled in White Swan until August 1991 when they moved to Toppenish, Washington he along with Irene raised 2 grandchildren Lena & Harry-Finley he is preceded in death by both parents, brother Max, sister Gladys, and his companion Irene in March 2012 1 son, 1 daughter, he is survived by Betty Gould of Wapato, Washington Shirley Rodarte of Auburn, Washington Beverly Bruce of White Swan Washington his children Donna (Dennis) Adams, Elsie Finley of White Swan Washington Flo (Austin) Howtopat of Wapaton Washington Mary Cree of Toppenish Washington Granddaughter Lena Iness-Finley and grandson Harry Iness-Finley both of Toppenish Washington along with numerous nieces and nephews grandchildren a special thank you to Diane & Kelly Sutterlict & Christine Wyman Arquette Jed Rodarte the staff at Memorial Hospital and Indian Health Services A private dressing was Tuesday April 12, 2022 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Wapato he was taken to Methodist Church in White Swan Washington for services on April 13, 2022 and immediately following laid to rest at Methodist Cemetery we would like to say a special thank to to Christa Blake-Parker at Valley Hills Funeral Home and Valley Hills Funeral Home for the arrangements.
