Alice Asbell

Alice L. Asbell age 73 of Selah, WA passed away peacefully January 18, 2019 at the Cottage in the Meadow. She was born March 30, 1945 in Crawford, NE to Burt Walker and Almina German. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting and raising a big garden She is survived by her daughter, Joanne (Al) Helm; three sons: John Raml, Jim Asbell, and David Asbell, Jr.; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, 1 brother and 3 sisters. She is preceded in death by her husband David E. Asbell, Sr. who passed away March 29, 2017, an infant daughter Janet at birth, both parents, one brother and one sister. She will be greatly missed by all of her children, her little sidekicks, Precious and Benji her dogs, plus a really good friend C.R. Ramirez. We kids would like to thank all of the staff at North Star for all they did for our mom. We would like to also thank the staff at Cottage in the Meadow. She became really close to one of the nurses named Danni. She loved her to pieces. Thank you to April also her nurse who came to the house. Everyone who came in contact with Mom, she loved you all. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 10:00 am at Valley Hills Funeral Home (2600 Business Ln., Yakima). Burial will follow at West Hills Memorial Park.
