Albert Graff

Albert Leroy Graff, 88 of Wapato Washington passed away peacefully at his home on June 19th. He was born on March 5th, 1929 in Lincoln Nebraska to Fred and Marie Graff. In 1945 he came to the Wapato area at the age of 15 and four years later married Lucille Adams who remained his wife until her death in 2004. In 1951 during the Korean conflict Albert served in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged in 1953. Albert was employed at the Del Monte can plant in Toppenish for 35 years. He loved country music and playing many instruments especially the guitar. He would play at home for and with family as well as a member of a band called "The get- togethers" of which he played with for several years. He enjoyed fixing things, fishing and spending time at home and with his family. He is survived by his son Tom and wife Lana with three grandsons, Duncan, Dustin and Garet all of Wenatchee. A brother Dick of Yakima and sister Mildred Berry of Raymond along with several nieces and nephews. He will be missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held on July 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Wapato (218 W. 3rd St., Wapato) with a reception to follow at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 379 (118 S. 5th Ave., Yakima).
