Alan Mitchell Tahsequah July 24, 1976 – December 21, 2017 Alan graduated from Wapato High School in 1995. During his years at Wapato High School he was involved with sports that included Football, Wrestling and Track & Field in the sprinting events and Shot Put. He also loved Motorcross and Bike Riding with Friends. He started his employment career with the Yakama Nation Salmon Corporation Program then started with Yakama Nation GIS Forestry Program, Yakama Nation Land Enterprise, worked with a private contractor under Yakama Nation Housing Authority repairing homes. He was also self employed in Landscape and Design, wood cutting and a tribal fisherman. Alan attended Yakima Valley Christian Church in Wapato and was baptized at the First Christian Church in Yakima at age 9. Alan loved to be in the closed area of the Yakama Nation enjoying nature, wildlife and fish. He had a specific love for fishing for trout and catching salmon at the Yakima River and the Columbia River on the John Day Damn with his friends and family. Alan is survived by his children Trenton Tahsequah, Alani Michelle Tahsequah (his namesake), their mother Lisa Isadore and their girls Shaliyah Johnson, Cierra McNeal and Sequoia Lewis, his parents Carson and Dolly Badonie, his siblings, Eddie Tahsequah, Jr, Tyson Tahsequah, Wil Badonie and his sister Kayonnie Badonie, his father Eddie Tahsequah, Sr. Comanche tribe originally from Lawton, Oklahoma, his closest family from Oklahoma living on the Yakama Reservation, Diane, Robyn, Desiree and Nichole Pebeahsy and his 16 Neices and Nephews. He is also survived by special second mother Claudia Pinkham, who cared for him and Tyson, and cooked and baked for them. Per Shaliyah J., “We are thankful for Alan coming into our lives and being the loving father figure”. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Casey and Blanche Winnier Watlamett, his grandfather Steve Morales Ganuelas Sr., his aunt Gloria Ganuelas Shilow, his uncles Nolan and Brian Ganuelas, and special cousin Kevin Ganuelas, and grandmother from Camanche tribe of Oklahoma Francis Tahsequah. Acknowledgements to all his cousins who are helping with services and preparing the meal. Also, thanks to Heartlinks Hospice for their care, advice, and help during this difficult time. Alan has entered into a new life with his family and his body whole again. Love to you always, from your family. Service on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Valley Hills Mortuary in Wapato, WA at 9 AM, burial at Reservation community cemetery, he will be laid to rest next to his uncle Nolan Ganuelas and near immediate family members, dinner to follow at All Nations Center.
