Alan LaRoy Brown

April 2, 1963 – July 22,2026

Alan Brown lost a 15-month battle with Lymphoma on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

Alan was born to Earl C. Brown and Carolyn J. (Watson) Brown on April 2, 1963 in Yakima, WA.

He was the youngest of three brothers.

The Brown boys grew up in the Naches Valley from Gleed to the Tieton Ranger Station on White

Pass. Their experiences provided many stories over the years, along with several shenanigans,

that any kid would cherish.

Alan attended Naches Schools K-12, graduating from Naches High School in 1981. After high

school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and trained to become a Medical Specialist. Alan served in

the 78 th Engineer Battalion deployed in West Germany near the Fulda Gap during the height of

the Cold War. During this time, he met and married Regina Koser. They had a son, Daniel Alan

Brown in 1984.

After his discharge from the U.S. Army, Alan received Fire Fighter training at L.H. Bates

Vocational-Technical Institute. He also completed Reserve Law Enforcement Officer training in

1990. Alan then returned to the medical field as a Surgical Technician. He would assist in heart,

ENT, orthopedic, and general surgeries at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Yakima Memorial Hospital, and

the Yakima Surgery Center. He was highly regarded and respected by his medical colleagues.

After a medical career that spanned over 30 years, he retired in 2025.

Throughout his life, Alan loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and riding

his ATV. He loved his German Shorthair Pointer, Molly.

Alan is survived by his son Daniel (Kristen), grandsons, Mason, Atlas, and Deklin, his brothers

Michael (Mick) (Mary) and Bryan (Debbie) and several nephews and a niece. He is also survived

by his longtime friend, Becky Barrett Fulcher.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved dog, Molly.

At Alan’s request, there will be no funeral services.
