Adelaida Alvarez

Adelaida Alvarez, 96, of Sunnyside died Tuesday, July 14, 2015, in Yakima. She was born in Sunnyside. She is survived by one son, Alvino Garcia; and three daughters, Maria Elena Mendoza, Maria de Jesus Cisneros and Maria Gracia Garcia. Viewing and visitation will be Thursday, July 16, 2015, from 4 to 8 p.m., with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday July 17, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church in Sunnyside. A traditional horse carriage procession will lead to graveside services at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside. Luncheon will be held after graveside services at St Joseph’s gymnasium.
