It is with deep sorrow that we announce that our beloved Aaron David Pena passed away on July 2, 2025
in Yakima, Washington at the age of 49. Aaron was born on November 19, 1975 to Ramiro Pena and
Rose Fraga (Guzman) at St. Elizabeth’s hospital in Yakima, Washington.
Aaron went to school in Yakima before moving to Fresno, California where he completed his education.
He had a career in Auto Body painting which he loved doing. He eventually moved to Post Falls, Idaho
before settling with his parents in Grandview, Washington.
Aaron was a die-hard Pittsburg Steelers Fan and looked forward to football season. He always had his
rivalry between his mom and brother Bobby who love the Seahawks, and his brother Esteban who loves
the Dallas Cowboys. Growing up he loved playing football in the backyard with his brother Esteban and
his cousins: Jody, Miguel, and Dominque.
Aaron was a fighter who fought many health struggles prior to his passing. We’ve always believed Aaron
was a walking miracle. He suffered a brain aneurysm at the age of 25 and by a miracle he survived. He
suffered another brain aneurysm at the age of 39 and was saved again by another miracle. He had a
recoiling of his aneurysm done at the age of 47. Unfortunately in August 2024 he suffered a major stroke
that he had a difficult time recovering from. Ultimately it’s what led to serious health issues that he
struggled to overcome. Despite all of his health issues he felt his purpose in life was to profess the
strength in prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ. He was a devout Roman Catholic and had a strong devotion
to the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
We would like to acknowledge our eldest son Esteban’s dedication and commitment to being there with
Aaron throughout all his hospital and nursing facility stays. Wherever Aaron went Esteban was by his
side. We are very grateful for that. We would like to extend our love and respect to Esteban.
He is survived by his parents: Robert and Rose Fraga; his siblings: Esteban Pena, Bobby Fraga, Sonya
(Jesse) Garibay, John Pena, and Adam Pena; his grandparents: Angelita and Ricardo Pena, and many
nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father: Ramiro Pena; his stepmother: Carol Pena; his grandparents:
Guillermina and Gumecindo Guzman; his uncle: Joe Guzman, his aunt: Carmen Mancilla, and his cousins:
Gabriel Mancilla, C.C. Jaime, and Joey Pena.
Though he may have left this world, his memory will live on in our hearts, a testament to his profound
impact on those blessed to have known him.
Go Steelers!
All Praise and Glory to Our Lord Jesus Christ.
JESUS, I TRUST IN YOU.
