AARON ALLISON OBITUARY
1988-2023
We have lost our beloved Son, Grandson, Brother, Nephew, Cousin from our world. Aaron passed away on July 18, 2023 at Memorial Hospital due to lung failure.
Aaron was born with a fatal disease, Cystic-Fibrosis. He was operated on his first day of life to remove part of small intestine due to bowel blockage. This was first of many ills he suffered the rest of his life. Although for the first 30 years he was able to live an active life due to medicines taken daily
He was active in baseball, football and basketball and was happy, good natured, making friends easily, always thinking of others and generous to a fault. Raised by a single father he was treated to many wonderful trips, some with his grandparents, cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska, two to Hawaii, Disneyland, and Disneyworld on several occasions. Also, many camping trips to favorite areas in Washington and Oregon. On finishing high school his father took him and friend Denise Hossom on a great European trip, Italy to see Umberto Capra, friend of father, then to France, London, and Scotland. Sadly, his father passed away shortly after the trip and Aaron’s life was never the same.
Unfortunately, his type of Cystic Fibrosis was indeed incurable, unlike other forms where new developments have helped to correct the inherit causes of the illness. So, he was prone to catching pneumonia and often suffered bowel blockages making it impossible to live a full life as time went by. Although trained at culinary school he gradually had to give up working doing voluntary work with children instead.
He was much loved by his extended family and many childhood friends he kept in touch with. Although not religious, Aaron was convinced that he would join his Father and Grandfather who passed before him and would meet Jesus and be forgiven for all his sins.
Aaron was pre-deceased by his Father David Allison, his Grandfather Paul Allison. His survivors include his Grandmother Janet Allison, Mother Debbie Knouf. Brothers Kirk Fletcher, Kieven Favor, Aunt and Uncles: Paul Allison, Diane and Tom Dickinson, Cindy and Russ Allison, Marcia Hazzard, Carrie Knouf, Wally Knouf. Grant Low. Cousins: Shawna and Aaron Lee, Megan Lee, Andrew Lee, Jack Lee , Sydney Lee, Leyam Overstreet, Khyler Overstreet, Leif Landa, Eric Landa and Jesalyn Cole.
