Mark Jankowski, 60, of Union Gap, Washington passed away at Cottage in the Meadow. Friday, January 4, 2019 at 9:30 with his loving family with him Mark lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born to Patricia and William Jankowski on January 2, 1959 in Michigan city, Indiana. His parents were waiting for him at the gates of Heaven with open arms. Mark graduated from River Valley High School in Three Oaks, MI in 1978. He then joined the US Army and when he came home he worked many jobs but his favorite job was at Redamacks in New Buffalo, MI where he was a cook. His last job before he became ill was at the Yakima Valley School. You could always catch Mark watching the Sports Channel, his favorite teams were Cubs for baseball and Bears and Notre Dame for football. He loved his sports. On September 14, 2013 Mark married the love of his life, Karen Kelley. She took very good care of him while he was ill. He loved her even more for that. Mark leaves behind his oldest sister, Karen Krone (Charles) of Three Oaks, MI, brother Duane Jankowski (Martha) of Yakima, WA, sister Donna Briggs (Gerald) of Baroda, MI and his youngest sister Judith Pedzinski (Paul) of Three Oaks, MI, A daughter Mandy Brockman (Matt) of Kentucky, 2 sons Timothy and Wayne Jankowski of Kentucky, 2 grandkids, lots of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, his best friend Mikie Benjerman of Buchanan, MI and John Lake friend of the family, the Kelley family and the Kampi family. May you rest in peace, we love you always. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Grace Lutheran Church (1207 S 7th Ave., Yakima).
